For auction: Cushman CE-5 FM Communications service monitor, refurbished; unit SN: See SN List Below. Frequency coverage: 20mhz-519mhz. This unit is furnished with a model: 301 Deviation Monitor, A RF PRESELECTOR Model : 303 SN PENDING . Telescoping Antenna furnished. 20db fixed attenuator furnished. Operational modes are: Monitor ( Off-air signal FM deviation and Frequency measurement), Signal generator ( AM/CW, FM) 100khz fixed and IF frequencies ( dial selected) are also available. Audio frequency (1khz) also available. Unit may be FM modulated from an external source ( via panel Mod Input BNC connector) such as a fixed tone, OR DTMF, or CTCSS. ***** Aftermarket Encoders/ Decoders readily available*** Chassis power supply filters replaced, Power supply regulator card (A19) electrolytic capacitors replaced, power supplies checked and adjusted as necessary. All plug in pc boards have been re-capped (electrolytics). Missing, corroded and damaged hardware replaced. Isotemp 3mhz high quality oven ( and new Three terminal regulator) installed in place of original somewhat problematic time base oven. Time base oven checked against our GPSDO driven frequency counter. New oven tested. "Oven" lamp ( New NE-2 neon lamp) is "on" when unit is connected to 115 (+- 10% ) V AC line and powered on; does not reflect time base oven status. NOTE: With this particular oven configuration, on initial power up, the "Unlock" lamp MAY slowly blink until the oven has come up to temperature, at which point the "unlock" lamp will extinguish. This will take a few minutes. Unit cleaned. All digit, decimal point ,"LOCK" lamps replaced with bright white LED's. All boards repaired as necessary. IEC AC connector installed, AC cord set furnished as part of sale. Carry handle is original, its in pretty good condition. Internal speaker quick disconnect cable installed. RF Unit ( 303) input connector replaced and checked for proper operation. Unit checked on wide and narrow band. Outer covers attach hardware replaced, covers not re-painted. Bottom panel equipped with a "wire bail" type wide foot that allows the unit to be "tilted" for easier viewing. Interior of unit cleaned. Unit checked on VHF and UHF with applicable tranceivers for Receive and Transmit function. Antenna and (1) 20DB (SMD RESISTORS) fixed attenuator furnished. Front cover furnished. Unit checked for receive and transmit function on UHF and VHF. Attenuator control checked. Attenuator switch checked. These Cushman Monitors are oldies but goodies. With the updated Isotemp precision time base oven they are great for use in the ham shop, for repeater installation and maintainance and in small two way repair shops.There are a wide variety of both RF and Monitor plug-in modules available for specific needs. Rf modules range from specific band units ( Example, 25-50mhz) to frequency converters and dividers. Dial lamps are lifetime LED assemblies, so you won't need to replace them. ***** NOTE: THIS UNIT IS DESIGNED TO BE OPERATED ON 115 VAC, +- 10%.
