Handmade Marbled Paper by Zusia Dodin. Paper marbling is a method of aqueous surface design, which can produce patterns similar to marble or other stone, hence the name. The patterns are the result of color (gouache) floated on plain water, and then carefully transferred to a sheet of paper. Marbled paper, as a decorative material has been used to cover a variety of surfaces for several centuries. It is often employed as a writing surface for calligraphy, and especially book covers and endpapers in bookbinding and stationery. But could be used for origami, collage, framing, tag creation, ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions and Originals), greeting cards, invitations and home decor items. Part of its appeal is that every sheet is different, One Of A Kind, as only one sheet can be made each time. About 13x8 cm (5x3 in) fragment, enlarged. Flat rate worldwide shipping by Registered Airmail with tracking number. Shipping times until delivery (estimated and may vary): Standard shipping: 10-20 days. Expedited shipping - Express Mail International, EMS: 2-3 working days (Austria, France, Germany, Portugal, UK, USA); 3-5 working days (most of the other countries). The papers are NOT folded in shipment. All the papers are rolled up into a cardboard tube or to a form of tube (depends on quantity and size of sheets).
