Description - The HE1420ACS isolated AC/DC current sensor is a galvanically isolated Hall-Effect current sensor that measures AC or DC or a combination of AC/DC current and provides a True RMS output with an on-board 16 bit ADC. The HE1420ACS operates from a single supply of 2.7V to 5.5V. Features Measurement Range 14A RMS (sine) 20A DC Combined AC + DC current to 20A peak Accuracy - Total output error < 2.0% typical at 25°C Isolation - 2.1 KVRMS minimum isolation voltage Low Insertion Resistance - Less than 5 m? Choice of Output Interfaces Digital - On-board 16 bit ADC with simple SPI interface to aquire True RMS current Analog voltage representative of the True RMS current Analog voltage representative of the current waveform referenced at 2.5V Single Supply - Operates with a single power supply with a range from 2.7V to 5.5V. A shutdown pin available to conserve power making it ideal for battery operation. Easy Connections -Two methods are available for connecting the monitored current: Terminal block, accepts 14AWG to 22AWG wire Ring terminals (Not included, terminal block must removed) Power and signal connections are provided on a popular 0.1", 12 position (2 x 6) header for easy interfacing. Protective Housing - Circuit assembly is fully enclosed in a plastic housing with mounting tabs for secure placement. Users can modify the housing to accommodate wiring as needed for their application or a housing with standard wiring slots can be ordered for an additional fee. Small Size - The enclosure measures 3.086" L x 2.085" W x 1.59" H (not including the mounting tabs). Customization - Although the HE Isolated AC/DC Current Sensor, as shipped, is optimized for use at 50/60 Hz it can be adapted for a bandwidth of up to 80KHz. Contact us for information.
