Saffron Extract 12" HEAVY DUTY GUILLOTINE STACK PAPER CUTTER FEATURES: Heavy gauge steel construction - cutter weighs 57 lbs - compare that to other cutters of this type. (Believe me, it's heavy.) Extra long cutting bar increases leverage - cut up to 400 sheets of paper easily! (Even a 72 year old senior can do it.) Storage drawer with free spare tools, extra cutting pad and blade replace handle. Safety shield keeps users from getting fingers under the blade. (That's good if you like your fingers intact.) Non-skid pads keep it in place. (Keeps it from sliding around.) Professionally machined and assembled steel blade rail and blade assembly. Computer generated grid in inches (down to 1/8") for precise cuts. (This is IMPORTANT. The grid is the whole machine, as far as I'm concerned.) Hardened precision steel blade customized at the factory. (Lasts almost forever.) Floating side gauge that you can lock in to keep each paper exact size while you cut. (The last sheet is the same size as the top sheet-no fanning out.) Cutting pad lasts long and doesn't dull blade. Easy one pull paper clamp handle-no more twirling wheel to keep paper tight. (This is a BIG plus, in my opinion.) Adjustable paper clamp - locks paper stack firmly in place, won't shift or tear. Easy-lock safety lever - prevents cutting until released. (Saves a lot on Bank Aids.) Scratch resistant coating. I'm selling my Stack Paper Cutter. My husband and I sold religious pictures (JesusMosaics) through Fundraisers in Churches, and we used this to cut flyers for handouts and to put in the weekly bulletins. Although we used it for about 5 years, it did not really get a lot of use. We had 5 to 8 Fundraisers a year, mostly around Christmas time, and cut from 300 to 1500 flyers for each Church. Adding it all up, we probably made no more than 100 cuts, if that many. I highly recommend this particular style of cutter. We purchased one of the cheap ones and really regretted it. The grid was so out of line, we couldn't get a straight cut for love or money. (I'm not saying all the cheaper ones have that problem, but am just telling you my experience.) By the time I got the wheel tightened, my paper had moved or fanned out. (Maybe it was just me.) We finally got rid of it and purchased the one pictured above. There are a couple of other machines that are identical to this one, but have Brand Names on them and are being sold at premium prices. We ordered ours directly from China (Yes, all these paper cutters are made in China.), so it does not have a Brand Name. Check out the pictures and you can see that ours has all the same features as the others. We are retired and getting ready to move, and we do NOT want to lug this along with us.
