CNC machined from aluminum plate with a 33" bar This sale is for a heavy duty miter slide unit, manufactured of 6061 aluminum material, for upgrading the capability of any table saw with a 3/8" deep by 3/4" wide table slot. These miter slide units are unlike any you will readily find on the market. They have been professionally designed, machined with CNC equipment from 1/2" aluminum bar stock, and assembled with stainless steel fasteners. The guide rail on each miter unit is made of 3/8" x 3/4" cold roll steel and is 33" in length. This extended length allows you to leave 6" of the rail still engaged in the table slot while you square up to push a board of up to 30" width through the saw blade. The face of the miter measures 2.5" tall x 8" wide giving you a large face to firmly square the board against. This face plate is pre-drilled with two holes that allow for attachment of a custom pusher board for those jobs when the fence is run close to the blade or when cutting odd miters. Both the face plate and base plate of the miter are accurately machined square and true, and have had the edges radius'd for a comfortable grip, as well as proving for a professional and clean appearance. The face plate is rigidly bolted to the base plate and also incorporates a 1/2" thick aluminum gusset for increased stability. The miter unit has an angular range of nearly 65 degrees to either the left or the right. The cast iron zinc plated four spoke knob makes tightening the setting easy and secure for error free repeat cuts. Each miter unit weighs some 5.0 pounds, making it extremely stout and rugged for a lifetime of use. Once you use this miter, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it.
