Check our credentials and then ask for theirs. Bought a Hickok 539, 600, 800 or 6000 series tube tester on Ebay? Now what? It is most likely out of calibration like 99% of them being used. Our Company Ctech Elecrtonics will calibrate your tester according to Hickok standards, with a custom Gm simulator and calibration tubes as a reference. The service assumes a working unit. The calibration consists of: Check operation of all switches and check tube sockets, clean and tighten as required. Align all controls. Check main meter operation for sticking, zero set and full scale sensitivity. Adjust as required. Test and replace Electrolytic capacitors as needed (Extra Charge for parts and labor) Check all other capacitors and replace as required (Extra Charge for parts and labor) Check line voltage meter for accuracy. High readings corrected by circuit modification (at extra cost). Low readings require meter replacement at extra cost. Check rheostat. Check fuse lamps and bulbs. Check neon bulbs and operation of leakage/short detection ciruitry. Adjust as required. If adjustment is not possible, resistors need to be replaced at extra cost. Check VR functions and related components. Check the 5Y3GT and #83 tubes. Check waveform symmetry and adjust as required. If symmetry cannot be achieved, tubes must be replaced at extra cost. Check all voltages (Pate, Screen, Bias and Signal) according to Hickok factory calibration procedures using a high accuracy voltmeter with proper impedance. If signal voltages are out of specification, resistors must be replaced and nodifications may be required, both at extra cost. if Bias meter does not track control, resistors must be replaced, or meter may need to be replaced at extra cost. Check bridge balance and offset and adjust. If bridge balance and/or offset cannot be adjusted, resistor replacement and/or modification is required at extra cost. Properly Calbrate and recheck the all Gm ranges on function switch with Gm simulator and calibration tubes. If calibration cannot be achieved resistors must be replaced at extra cost. Lightly clean front panel and case Check the unit with a variety of good and bad power and small tubes Provide a test/check list and instructions for proper use. Your unit will operate as accurately as it possibly can. The calibration cost does not include the cost of any required parts replacement/labor or circuit modifications required. You will be notified if this is the case. There will be an additional charge if parts are needed to replaced. Most times this is not required to get the unit to calibrate, if the unit is in working condition. Typical turn around is generally 15 - 20 working days but varies with work load. Check with us for turnaround times. The shipping calculator is an estimate on return shipping. We will refund or bill you for the difference between this and the actual shipping charges, since we only charge actual shipping fees.
