This is a great piece of test equipment that includes a Volt Ohm meter, a capacitance tester and a TV-7 tube tester in one package.  This is a true mutual conductance (Gm) tube tester and, unlike the TV-2 and the TV-7 testers the meter displays Gm directly using three Gm range scales: 3000, 6000 and 15,000.  The TV-3 measures shorts/leakage up to 300K Ohms. Made by Hickok under US Navy contract.  It is somewhat larger and heavier than the TV-7 and includes a roll chart with the settings for the various tube types.  Navy nomenclature is TV-3B/U and they are a lot rarer than the popular TV-7 models.  The tube sockets are in nice condition but there are no "socket savers".   The tester has been in storage for many years and I have decided not to power it up at this time.  It most likely works (but could use calibration).  I am offering it as "not working for parts or repair."  The AC line cord has already been replaced.  The ON/OFF switch was broken and someone bypassed it when they replaced the line cord.  I found a new switch and replaced the broken one but did not wire it in.  I planned to do a restoration on this unit but never got " a round tuit".  It shouldn't take much as everything is there and the case and panel should clean up very nicely. Packing, shipping and insurance is $30.00.  I am in Massachusetts so shipping to the West Coast region will be $40.00. Local pickup encouraged.  Download the NAVSHIPS manual and schematics in pdf format free of charge from the BAMA (Boat Anchor Manual Archives).  Just do a Google search and you will find it.  The file you want is NAVSHIPS 91747.pdf
