Bought this for re-sale from a fellow that used it on one dam building project he was hired to work on up in Wyoming about 10 years ago. He was some kind of an electrician for heavy construction work. He said it has set in his garage every since then and no longer needed it. It is made by HK Porter company in the USA. I cannot find a lot of info on this D-1753 model but the HK Porter 1790 Enerpac  system looks real similar to me in working design and size?  I really don't have any huge copper or aluminum cable around but I did bunch 9-10 pieces of household electrical cable and the thing cut like butter as the picture shows. The jaws look quite good to me with no apparent damage except for minor surface rust. The action springs back open as it should when you release the pressure at the cyl. The tag says to keep greased but I didn't want to slime it all up for shipment. It is for copper and aluminum and not steel I am told. I really don't know the full capacity of this thing but the jaws open maybe 3-1/2" and he said it would cut whatever ( al or cu) that you could fit into it but that is up to you to determine. I have no idea of pressure it produces. He did say that the hyd. cylinder pac could be used on a separate hole-cutter punch device for knock-out holes in large panel boxes for what that is worth. He could not find the handle for it. The diameter is 3/4" and any aluminum or steel rod of that diameter would work. I will include what I found here in the house to perform the test with at least. It is thin wall aluminum with a spring-loaded "detent" button that holds it into the cylinder just fine. It certainly developed enough strength to cut through the copper I tested it on but high pressures may require a solid handle.  The red mounting board was included when I bought it and I made the crude bent over bolts which hold the cylinder to the board with nuts which are recessed into the bottom of the board. It works to hold it fine but you may want to improve that for your particular use? I have told what I know but I am selling it as is with no returns or refunds, please bid accordingly.  I see new ones are darn expensive to buy.  Shipping will not be cheap, will be a large rugged box at 44lb. The device weighs about 37 itself the best I could weigh it since it is a bit cumbersome with the rigid hyd. hose tying it all together.  Please ask any questions you may have.  UPS Ground for shipping please .
