True theta movement is about center of the stage. Both X and Y movements offer 1 inch of travel. A unique system of using vacuum for stage locking once proper alignment has been achieved and air bearing levitation during adjustment to ensure long life with minimal wear. The precision stage is mounted on a reciprocating carriage which is driven by a time-tested and proven air cylinder and Thomson rod assembly with physical hard stops at both limits. HMI guarantees consistent and repeatable positioning of the carriage to ±0.0005 inch. Programmable Squeegee Drive This printer incorporates an Aqueous Hydraulic squeegee drive system which provides smooth squeegee motion adjustable up to 10 in/s and is independently set for each print direction. A smooth steady print stroke without vibration or chatter is achieved by the direct mount drive assembly of either system. Print Head The DS-II dual squeegee print head offers pneumatic squeegee pressure control also with micrometer adjustable squeegee down stop or flood blade position. Squeegee blade angle of attack and squeegee leveling on either print head is fully adjustable. Squeegee to substrate leveling is accomplished through the use of a manual micrometer adjustment. The DS-II print head can accept two traditional style squeegees or two metal squeegee blades can be installed for stencil printing applications. The DS-II can also accept a single squeegee and a stainless steel flood blade.
