Hobart microwave ovens are designed and built for high volume use. Components will withstand the high temperatures found in kitchens. Two heavy duty magnetrons deliver instant energy for rapid reheating, defrosting, or prime cooking. And the wave guide system has been designed for improved magnetron life. The counter-balanced door opens upward on double hinges and is designed with a smooth surface having no cracks, crevices, or openings assuring maximum sanitation and minimum maintenance. The ovens feature six (6) touch-pad selectors for repetitive cooking and a variable timer. The selectors are customer programmable from 1 second to 10 minutes 39 seconds without the use of tools. A hand-set variable dial timer is featured for special settings from 10 seconds to 9 minutes 50 seconds. Also featured is a lighted digital display showing selected time and time remaining to complete the cycle. Hobart microwave ovens are recommended for restaurants, satellite food stations in hospitals and nursing homes, sandwich stations in school cafeterias, in-plant foodservice snack bars, fast food units, lunch counters, truck stops, and all other fast heating applications - including theme parks like this one was used at! DUAL MAGNETRONS: Two magnetrons and dual wave guides provide a uniform heating pattern. OVEN CHAMBER: Constructed of stainless steel with vertically covered corners for easy cleaning. Shelf is easy-to-clean ceramic. EXTERNAL FINISH: Cabinet polished stainless steel, plastic legs with mar-resistant rubber cushions. SAFETY INTERLOCKS: Two independent interlock switches interrupt power to the magnetrons when the oven door is opened. A third interlock switch will shut the oven off if the primary interlock fails. Another switch turns the oven off when the enclosure housing is removed. THERMAL PROTECTION: An automatic temperature sensing device protects the magnetrons from overheating. OPERATING VOLTAGE: 208/240 V power. The cooking power drops when the voltage falls below 208V. TOUCH PAD OPERATION: The six touch-pad selectors are factory preset at 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, and 120 seconds. The times on each of the six selectors can be easily field reprogrammed from the front panel by the user. Each selector may be individually programmed from 1 second to 10 minutes 39 seconds. DIAL TIMER OPERATION: Manually operated and activated by a Variable Time touch pad. Can be set for a range of 10 seconds to 9 minutes 50 seconds in 10 second intervals. Dial does not wind down but remains at last setting for repeated operations. When timer cycle is complete, beeper will sound. DIGITAL DISPLAY: The digital display on the front panel serves three purposes. During the cooking cycle it shows the remaining cooking time; it previews the fixed or varialbe times; and it displays the reprogramming times. AIR FILTER: A large air filter beneath the front of the oven slides out for ease of cleaning. (Probably should be replaced prior to new install for longest between-service interval. Or keep the existing one which can still be used for a while to get used to the equipment before its first deep cleaning at your facility).
