Offered for sale is a complete and working Hobart M5 WWII era generator. This generator was purchased by a local farmer from the government in 1949 to use as a backup source of power. It sat inside his machine shed until I purchased it from his estate in 2012. The unit starts and makes power and is in excellent shape. It is complete except for the dust cap for the power out receptacle and the choke cable knob. All panels are present and intact and all latches are functional. Also included is the rare hand start crank handle as well as some paperwork to include an instruction packet and original procurement documents from when it was first purchased as surplus. The generator is powered by a 4 cylinder Hercules liquid cooled engine. Buyer will be responsible for pickup or arranging transport. I can secure the generator to a pallet and deliver to a local terminal for a nominal fee ($75). Lifting capabilities are on site for loading. The unit weighs in the vicinity of 800 pounds.
