Offering a vintage U.S. Property Insulation Resistance Tester, Type P, 100 Megohms 500 V.D.C., Model 10B, made by Holtzer-Cabot, Boston Mass. It was fully inspected and tested. Neon bulbs light when proper voltage is generated by cranking it.  Repair Note: The "L" Line screw terminal mounting insulator was replaced as the original one was cracked. Comes with its own long resistive testing cables. Please view clear photos for detailed description. Manufactured 3-1-1951; Serial # 2537 MB 170; Stock # G17-I-702. Description:  It operates by producing a high voltage via a internal generator that checks resistance isolation failures. Some examples would be finding  nicked or crushed insulation, stray wire strands or braided shielding, conductive or corrosive contaminants around the conductors, terminal spacing problems, and tolerance errors in cables. This Insulation Resistance Tester name plate indicates it is a U.S. Property test gear most likely used by the U. S. Navy as it has a  faded Navy anchor stamp on its face.  Thank You for looking and for your consideration.
