Up for sale is a Howard Personalizer #20286. I bought this a few years back from a stationary store that was closing down. It did not get a lot of use, and came with many accessories. I worked in and ran a bookbindery for many years, which was the reason I bought this stamping press, but was barely used, as I had access to the shop I worked in. Very well made, cast iron, great condition. It has been in storage almost the whole time I have owned it. plugged it in and works great! Stamper comes with everything seen in the pictures. Original manual, catalogues ( some have writing), many guides that screw down onto the work area. Lots of foil, I have only used the metallic foils, though we used the matte color ones at my job, they tend to be more tempermental, tempurature / dwell time, will need to be adjusted, depending on type of foil and material you are imprinting on. Also included is a box of Howard lead type. It has all the letters upper/lower and numbers…..They are in different amounts which is common, ( more a’s , less x’s, etc). I have no idea if it is complete, but looks like it is mostly if not all there (see pic). You will want to aquire various type faces for the stamper, but this will get you started. Also shims and spacers. The type chase has a stand, which is great, because when it is hot, and you want to change out the type, you have something to hold it with. Everything I have when I bought this machine is in the auction, some things I am not sure what they are, but if it is in the photos then it is included. Please Note: Photos above has the foil roll backwards……Back side of foil should be facing the object you want to imprint, not the gold side. Also, just an FYI, if you are using this for professional purposes, you may find the foil attachement useful, If it is for personal use, you may want to use it without. In the bindery I worked in we had 10 full sized foil stamping machines, only one had the foil attachement. They tend to use up a lot of foil. For smaller run jobs, it is easier to just stick a sheet of foil on top of what you’d like to imprint and done! This is also better if you are switching color of foil a lot……Just a word of advice, works great either way. Item has already been safely packed for shipping. Cost is actual weight and dims.
