Fantastic HP8640B Signal Generator MIL-SPEC Sticker 6625-01-014-8426 / DAAB07-78F-9020 Options 001, 002 /.5MHz to 1024MHz / 20Hz to 600KHz Internal Audio Oscillator This is a NEW, 1978 Manufacture NEVER USED-NEVER PLUGGED IN! They don't get any better than this one-ANYWHERE This cost the US Govt. over Fifteen Thousand Dollars. This Signal Generator was manufactured, and sold by Hewlett Packard, and Listed in the HP Book later than 1991. By 1993 it was no longer listed. I just unwrapped it from the bubble wrap that it was shipped in today. I have had this for over 15 years. ******************* READ BELOW ***************** I have not turned any of the knobs. If this is going into service it needs to be fully checked out by a very competent, and familiar with this model technician. Many will agree that the HP8640B is the finest example of a tuned cavity signal generator ever manufactured However there are a few things that would need to be addressed before this is put into service. The lubricant in the tuned cavity, and some gear drive components. That's why I have not turned any of the knobs. If you are not familiar with this model, you need to search the internet, and do some reading to make sure this is something you want. ************************************ The Stickers still cover the electrical receptacle in the rear of this. This is as clean and perfect as you could ever hope to find. I did not clean this up before the photos.
