30 day warranty!  LOADED W/ great OPTS! 010--Tracking Generator, 9 khz- 2.9 Ghz 50 ohm(1000$ value) 021--GP-IB Interface and and keyboard interface  004  precision freq ref ( a must for 26 ghz machines) this is an 8593A model. more pics up soon,  compared to the E model this is about 3 years older and doesnt quite have the super low span stability but no one really  uses these models for that anyways. other than that they are basically identical, just a few different menu changes. this is phase locked unlike the shoddy 8592a series. those are terrible!  if you want the E model I may have one still for 1000$ more on ebay. search for that one. its got tg too. the tg is 1000$ value alone . opt 105 (gated option) can be installed for free but may cause a delay in shipping. if you need other opts let me know, like noise figure 119, 151/160 ,130 narrow rbw 102 am fm demod 103 quasi pk detector emi bw...I can install them for an extra fee. I also have 8562a and 8563a with external tracking generator available for around the same price.inquire for that. BRAND NEW CALIBRATION with full adjustments and realignments ran on the analyzer plus the tracking generator , performs well within spec and flatness and freq cal will be adjusted before shipping as well as the internal self cal and crt adjustment. for an extra 150$ I think I can put a new crt in, if its compatible........its an e series, some are compatible w a series cpus and some are not. but the crt on this is really good for its age  and the focus still works which is more than I can say about most of these. Beware lots of people claim to have their units calibrated, however if it doesnt have a realignment and full adjustment ran its not a calibration but merely a performance test and general approval . and in many cases those approvals dont even pass spec! and spec is not that accurate to begin with! If you need a face cover I can probably throw one in for free upon request.as well as a carrying case  This is an 8593E Signal  spectrum analyzer with opt 010 the tracking generator ( 9 khz to 2.9 ghz) the tracking generator is a 1000$ value increase and in super high demand. . This has been fully  tested with my 26.5 ghz signal generator and  works with no issues .it says 22 ghz but actually runs within spec up to 26.5 ghz !  warranty will be for exchanges within 30 days!. I have thoroughly tested all of the functions and it passes all my freq response ,amplitude accuracy , noise-floor sensitivity, flatness, attenuator, and stability tests  flawlessly within spec and is guaranteed to recalibrate with no issues! .the waveform even at super high frequencies with low spans, on this unit has excellent shape with no spikes at low spans / bandwidths. you may be able to  find one cheaper on ebay but not one this thoroughly tested or freshly calibrated and realigned with full 16 page data  report. chances are that they will not be able to calibrate without repairs. even if they are offering warranty, Its good odds that there is an issue or they are hoping you wont send it in for cal because it will not calibrate. Adjustments include cal amplitude, frequency which include attenuator error , span centering, etc.... as well as cal ytf which makes high band accuracy much better for amplitude, as well as cal mxr which is similar to ytf , then I adjust frequency standard to 300 mhz output with plus or minus a few hz, and then run full flatness calibration , then finally the tracking generator levelling and normalization to -10 db .and if needed crt realignment for optimum clarity and centering. My cal is much better than most cal lab's calibration because I run all the manual adjustments. they only run it thru a software program and realign the freq response(flatness) at most (if that). other companies like tmi just look at it and certify it automatically without even testing it thoroughly,  cal comes with brand new  nist traceable certificate and sticker. I also have a few other 8593e units that dont have the tracking generator that I can sell for 1000$ less . they have brand new cal  as well. All buttons, knob, outputs , and inputs  and  both ref sources(rear 10 mhz ref and front 300mhz  cal out ref) work great. crt is in perfect condition with no screen burn or  significant sign of aging. Its still super bright These units dont need to be sent in for cal very often like the 6 series because it has its own built in frequency and amplitude calibration as well as ytf and mixer , and tracking gen cal that you can run anytime.  No errors show when powered up, or while  running all the internal tests , passes confidence test and internal self cal flawlessly . I am also known for my HP / Agilent spectrum analyzer and function generator sales as well.  For test equipment I am very knowledgeable with SRS  and HP agilent  equipment : pricing , testing, reconditioning,  and fixing basic issues. Every price that is listed is a price that the same unit sold for before at least  a few times. I am not like the other dealers who list for rediculous prices that no one has ever bought it for in hopes they can make themselves rich. All my prices for musical instruments and scientific electronic test instruments are fair going rate prices. Run the unit thru the test and adjustment module in the back with a software (one of 3 providers) that connects to a signal generator, splitter and power meter , and old style computer  which merely tests the functionality of the unit and does not adjust any parameter in any way. the software gives a pass/fail if it performs within a wide gap  of spec. (does not have to be accurate whatsoever to pass!) they then give you a cal certificate printed by the software  stating if it passes or fails. the flatness accuracy can be within 6 db range of error! unacceptable!  type 2. Companies like TMI dont have any cal automated software (not that you need it if you know what you're doing and can afford to spend some extra time on it) , they just have a tech turn it on and go thru some basic routine to test functionality. I have had multiple units come to me from TMI and other cal labs with a new cal from them and it was more than 8 db off with many holes , frequency was wayyyy out of spec! not even close!  and span accuracy was way out of spec because they had hardware defects ! yet somehow the units had  cal certificates and they verified that it was indeed calibrated and passed with no issues within spec. this has happened many times between me and my partner and other colleagues ,  but tmi is not the only company out in the test equipment field that is notorious for this kind of service.   type 3. companies like cal right in san diego are actually legit cal companies. they can do a great job realigning the flatness with their software , even if its way off to begin with, they also include a data report  printed by the software which can be tricky to interpret sometimes .  (some of my units   have this calibration when I need them to have data reports).  they only do basic sytf realignment and flatness adjustment . there are about 6 to 8 other adjustments including frequency adjustment and span adjustments that need to be calibrated to ensure your analyzer functions like new again and there simply is not any cal company in the country that performs all the adjustments in their cal routine. If I use this company for cal , I first run all the extensive adjustments myself here at my cal lab and then send it out to them so they can generate a data report and have the verification by software that some companies demand. If you need this type of cal and this unit doesn't state it has a data report, you can pay an extra 500$ for it and I'll send it out for you. Type 4. this is my cal routine and consists of for 856 series :  realigning the loda amplitude and dual mixer alignment  on the a14 board, then realign the yig/yto  which is the span accuracy adjustment, and cal out freq which calibrates the frequency accuracy across the spectrum (10 mhz clock cal) ,then check and adjust the a16 board micro adjustment ,and verify the sampler on the a15 frequency synth board is where it should be , then perform the sytf (E series)/ytf(A series) realignment which calibrates the amplitude and preselector, then complete flatness calibration (which makes the amplitude across the spectrum dead on accurate ) and realignment according to the service manual but doing a secret technique I figured out from years of experience that allows me to program the analyzer to support up to 26.5 ghz without having the option 26 ! some analyzers may be only able to get to 26 ghz within spec after my flatness adjustment but most can get up to 26.5  perfectly within spec! Every analyzer you buy won't be able to peform past 22 ghz within spec without my adjustments,  this is a huge added bonus for the unit that greatly increases its value  and It's all free, no extra charge , included in the  cal! .I also check all the voltages to make sure the power supply across all 8 boards are right on the money. and I also adjust the crt as well to ensure that you get the most brightness and focus as possible! (quite often I can convert a bad crt into a good crt with only a simple series of adjustments! ) my units will perform like new in regards to amplitude,  attenuator, span and frequency accuracy , for 859 series  : Adjustments include cal amplitude, frequency which include attenuator error , span centering, etc.... as well as cal ytf which makes high band accuracy much better for amplitude, as well as cal mxr which is similar to ytf , then I adjust frequency standard to 300 mhz output with plus or minus a few hz, and then run full flatness calibration , then finally the tracking generator levelling and normalization to -10 db, and crt alignment if needed as well .
