Everything from heavy gauge copper grounding wire to marked 6 awg copper THHN building cable is present, along with direct burial wire, multiple conductor, etc. An additional large tub of shorter lengths and remnants is also included, along with some odds and ends of tubing, chain, and high tension ( ? ) cable wire. These are the packages most people ship, so the PO makes a tidy windfall on these lighter class shipments. Furthermore, rates are not charged by weight and distance alone. A three tier multiplier is used to calculate the volume of all packages over 12"x12"x12". The first tier; up to 83" length and girth combined; is a small per pound surcharge based primarily on the actual weight for medium-sized packages. Once a large package measures between 84" - 107" though, you pay for a 'balloon rate' 20 pound parcel, or for the actual weight, whichever is more. If you exceed this dimensional allowance and ship a very large package between 108" - 130", you pay for 70 pounds regardless of the actual weight. For example, shipping a brick to New York will cost you $9.92, but a very large 24"x 24"x 24" box weighing 3 pounds with a pillow, will cost $107.16. I ship via USPS Parcel Post or Priority Mail; whichever is less; within 1 business day 90% of the time, but sometimes delays are unavoidable. Since eBay now requires that sellers list a shipping amount in advance; I generally use flat rate shipping quotes to the Midwest. This is the fairest cost approach for everyone.
