Quite possibly the only Water Channel Flume in non-university ownership!   Purchased from Purdue University in January, 2012.  My intention was to create models for harnessing ocean wave energy in a very low impact form of electrical generation. Typical, standard multi-purpose re-circulating demonstration channels consist of: Transparent wall channel sections. A head tank with adjustable undershot gate, movable tailgate, reservoir, circulating pump(s), Brooks Instruments flow meters and flow control valves. A motorized jacking system adjusts the slope of the channel bed. Working channel sections are fabricated of clear acrylic Plexiglas, which provides leak proof joints with twice the impact resistance of tempered plate glass.

Seller Notes “Removed from service at Purdue University in January 2012. One PVC pipe damaged during movement. was reconditioned in 2004 with new motors and new Jacuzzi pumps.”
