This radio has been tested and does function properly. My price reflects the fact that it comes with the battery but not the battery charger. The battery has also been tested and does charge to capacity. Below are the product features and specifications from the manufacturer. IP57 dust-tight and waterproof protection The F70/F80 series has dust-tight and waterproof protection equivalent to IP57 and is tested to demanding MIL-STD 810 requirements. IP57 waterproof protection means the F70/F80 series can be submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. The F70/F80 series can withstand rugged use even under harsh weather conditions. Built-in multiple signaling The 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS, DTCS and MDC signaling capabilities are built-in for group communication or selective calling. Up to 10 2-Tone and 8 5-Tone codes can be decoded on a single memory channel. This is perfect for professionals who require multiple district paging on one channel. When a matched tone is received, the following items are programmable for each code. Radio stun/kill and Power-on password function The radio stun/kill functions disable a lost or stolen radio over the air, eliminating security threats from undesired listeners. The power-on password prevents unauthorized people turning on the radio. More Features The FIPS 140-2 validation confirms that the Icom encryption module, Icom AES Encryption, has passed rigorous field tests and provides agencies the independent assurance that the module meets or exceeds the highest performance standards in encryption for its classification. FIPS encryption is a requirement for many federal agencies.
