Technical Information                                                                     TestServices:                                                                                          Open circuits                                                                                     Shorts                                                                                           Mis-wires                                                                                      Reversals                                                                                      Split pairs SHIELD detection tests a cable's shield integrity Checks continuity and configuration of wiring with unshielded and shielded modular plugs Remote has wiring chart identifying T568A and T568B wiring configurations DEBUG quickly identifies which cable pairs have a specific wiring fault Length Measurement: 3 ft to 600 ft STP/UTP A flashing pair LED indicates that this wire pair has a fault. A flashing LED in the FAIL section will indicate which fault was detected. Multiple flashing LEDs indicate multiple pairs and/or multiple faults. Best practice is to correct cable faults until cable is verified as correct with appropriate green LEDs FAIL Indicators:                                                                                       Shield Green SHIELD LED indicates the shield on the cable is correctly and continuously wired through the modular plug termination 10 Base-T Two green LEDs on pairs 1-2, and 3-6. Both pairs terminated correctly Token Ring Two green LEDs on pairs 3-6, and 4-5. Both pairs terminated correctly T568A and T568B Four green LEDs on pairs 1-2, 3-6, 4-5, and 7-8. All four pairs are terminated correctly Pass Indicators:A flashing pair LED indicates that this wire pair has a fault. A flashing LED in the FAIL section will indicate which fault was detected. Multiple flashing LEDs indicate multiple pairs and/or multiple faults. Best practice is to correct cable faults until cable is verified as correct with appropriate green LEDs
