When I moved into a new Art Studio mid 2012 this was hanging on the wall. There was much trash to be tossed, but the minute I spotted this somewhat circular, 8 legged spiderish, not quite an octagon, very industrial looking, WHAT COULD THAT POSSIBLY BE metal thing I grabbed it immediately but was stunned by what I thought was almost 10 lbs of weight - actually only 7.8 lbs. When the Studio was finally cleaned and painted I proudly hung it on the wall. Whatever it is. Well after almost 40 years the sad day has come when I am about to finally close my Studio and painful decisions are being made about what must find new homes. A bright light and magnifying glass led me to the possible identify of my unidentified art. I believe this to be a CENTRIFUGE ROTOR manufactured by IEC. It appears to be in good shape (considering my non-existent knowledge of such things), there are no cracks, dents, or other apparent major - or minor - damage; but with only a passing idea of how this might work, it is really hard to tell. So, it is for sale. There are as many photos as there seemed to be possible angles. If you have questions please ask because the ONLY reason for return would be that you receive something other that what is pictured or I have described in this listing. On the other hand if you have no need for this as a CENTRIFUGE ROTOR, this is WAY COOL ART! BE WELL and BUY ART!! Susan
