1/4 wave plate for Co2 beam correction. Many Co2 lasers are highly polarized which leads to an uneven cutting width. This device will transform the linear polarized beam into a circular and even one. Very pricey little item. I could not find a current price sheet. I found one from 1981 (see pic) and it was $1,100.00 35 years ago. I contacted IIVI about it's current price and they sent me an ROM quote (rough order of magnitude) which can sway as much as 40% from actual price. So deduct 40% from the quote of $4,600.00 and you get $2,760.00 which would be about right. So it's gone up 150% in 35 years. Little has changed with the optic and mount over the years. This one has an arc shaped mark going right through the middle of optic that does not show up on my camera. Like a fine scratch. You can always direct the beam off center if this bothers you. I will refund your money if the beam burns the optic from the scratch. I doubt it will as ZnSe can take a lot of punishment. Nevertheless, I have dropped my regular price. Part# WPM-10.6-.55-90-R  (WavePlateMultimode-10.6 microns-.55"clear aperture-90 degree-Rotating mount) Though the sticker part# has been removed from this one. This one is AR coated (unlike similar older models)  ZnSe substrate . Rotating mount is clean and smooth throughout. Has 1/4-20 mounting hole and lock down screw on other end. Thanks for looking
