Imed Gemini PC-1 infusion pump This infusion pump has a door along the right side for securing a disposable pump set in a linear peristaltic pump (no pump sets are included with this unit). On the left side are two four-digit LED displays for displaying rate (ml/hr) and volume to be infused (ml), an alphanumeric status display, and a controller/pump mode indicator. The buttons along the bottom include buttons labelled pause/stop, power on, rate, volume to be infused, start, 100, 10, 1, 0.1, clear/silence, P/C mode, sec piggy back and volume infused. On the back is a female 9-pin D connector labelled "RS-232C data port", an empty container detector connector, an audio volume control knob, a power connector (120V hospital grade power cord is included) and a clamp for supporting the unit on a vertical rod. How the unit was tested: When plugged in and turned on the unit initially reported an internal error. The unit was left plugged in overnight to charge the internal sealed lead-acid battery, and then when the unit was subsequently tested again it functioned correctly. It detected the absence of a pump set and refused to run, but when the pump set door is closed the pump primes itself so the pump itself appears functional. This appears to be a good working unit.
