The pad is made of microfiber for absorbency and resistance to shedding. Fringe along the edge of the pad can pick up larger particles of dust and debris. The envelope-style backing is made with canvas to resist wear and accepts a dust mop frame measuring 5" wide (frame sold separately). The color of the backing may be used to distinguish the microfiber pad from other pads of different lengths. The microfiber pad measures 60 x 5 inches (L x W). (L is length, the horizontal distance from left to right; W is width, the horizontal distance from front to back.) Dust mops (also called dry mops) consist of a mop head, a mop frame, and a handle. A mop head is sometimes tied on to a mop frame with connected strings, or it has a sleeve into which the frame fits.
