This is a pressure converter (IPC-1) from Inficon Leybold-Heraeus.  It features a manual (Nucor-looking) stainless steel valve with 1.33" mini-CF (Conflat) connections on either side of the valve.  Attached to each mini by standard copper gasket and bolt assembly is a mini-terminated, double sided 2.75" CF flange with the mini-CF port welded through the side.  Welds are beautiful and all knife edges are guaranteed pristine.  This type of assembly is usually seen surrounding another, larger valve as a bypass feeding a mass spectrometer or other process control analysis system.  In this manner, very small changes to gas composition may be analyzed at elevated pressures.  It looks to have been well maintained and comes from university surplus storage.  I lack the equipment to fully characterize the system, but it certainly came from a working system.  That's all I know. It's perfectly sized to sit around a Varian right angle valve, which I can provide if you require one.  I'll cancel this auction for you and relist the IPC-1 with the extra valve if you ask (and there's no bid already submitted).  I just have no need for this and I can use the valve it was surrounding.   I'll include used copper gaskets to protect the knife-edges in shipping either way.
