Up for sale is a top-of-the-line, industrial IR pneumatic drill, model 5RANST8. 900 RPM. Plenty of torque. Reversible. Strong both directions. Drill was disassembled, cleaned and inspected. The air vanes are as new, without chips or wear and were not changed. The cylinder is smooth without damage or signs of wear. No grooving or marks. The rear motor bearing is a needle bearing and is fine. The front motor bearing is an unsealed ball bearing that is also fine. The chuck bearing is a double row, heavy duty sealed ball bearing. It is smooth and easy to roll without any roughness. The 1/2" Jacobs chuck holds tight and the gear teeth are not worn or rounded. A rubber type material covers most of the tool. It has a couple of nicks and has been trimmed by the trigger but is in overall good shape. All of the internal drive gears were damage free and showed zero wear. The spindle is perfect and there is no wobble when running. The tool is not missing any parts and all threaded parts have good, undamaged threads. It fits the hand well and is comfortable to use. It is free of excess vibration and has no odd noises when in use. Air exhausts out of the bottom of the grip area, right by the air inlet. No blowing in your face. The trigger is easy to operate and the valve does not leak air through. It does not leak air when at rest. The reversing lever is damage free, easy to access and operates easily with the hand holding the drill. This tool does not have any past owner engravings but appears to have been written on in the past with a magic marker. It can't be read but has discolored the covering somewhat. Overall this tool is in great condition. When operated, you can quickly tell that this is not your everyday, run of the mill air drill.
