This is an ITW Ransburg Electrostatic Paint Resistivity / Conductivity meter for measuring paint material resistance for electrostatic spray paint applications. It measures Kilo-Ohms , Mega-Ohms and Giga-Ohms. There are 2 probes. One is for immersing into solvent or waterborne paints and the other has conventional clips. The meter is practically new and was used maybe 3 times in our plant to formulate our electrostatic paints. Once we got the correct polar nature of the solvents to facilitate optimal electrostatic wrap for our paints and Graco guns, we never used it again so it doesn't ever have a mark on it. Still has the correct factory calibration and lab release docs of the calibration. This is as nearly new as an item is can be and it is built extremely rugged. It has years of life left in it. These meters are primarily used for wet spray applications Item is sold as is and all sales are final ! As a rule of thumb, a resistivity of 20 to 140 M-CM is suitable for most kinds of electrostatic equipment. This Ransburg paint resistivity meter measures the resistivity in megaohm (M).
