JOHANN DURRHAMMER / METU model # TP 9H dual polishing buffing station with a three stage internal dust collection system for precious metal removal. The model TP 9H is an very well built precision polishing / buffing station designed for the jewelery industry and built in Pforzheim Germany. It features dual independent buffing / polishing motors. Each motor is controlled by a seperate on / off switch so each side of the station can be controlled independently. Each motor is .88 Hp each, consuming 3.9 Amps at 220 volts three phase, at 2800 RPM's. The first stage of the dust collection system is comprised of two steel baffles running down each side of the lower main cabinet. As dust particulate is drawn down along each baffle the heavier precious metals fall into the lower catch pan sitting on the floor of the cabinet. The second stage coarse filter is comprised of 16 aluminum perforated washable filters. The filters are arranged eight per side in four pairs of two with an inner and an outer filter, each with each set of holes slightly offset from the next . These filters sit within an easily accessed pull out enclosure / box. The box can be easily removed and opened to wash out or clean each filter to extract the metals its trapped. The last stage is a fine fabric medium filter for fine dust removal. The rear of the cabinet can be opened from both the back and top to access both the motor and filter. The motor running the dust collections system is independently controlled by its own on / off switch sitting under the table, and is seperated from the ducting to prevent contamination from the dust within the unit. Both main buffing motors run very smoothly both shafts running true. The at the end of each shaft is a replaceable arbor / extension that can be changed out to accept different arbor sizes. New arbors are available online. The dust collection motor runs very smoothly and quitely with high CFM drawn. Johann Durrhammer is still in buisness making jewlery machinery. I have two identical model TP 9H's. They vary only in the slight cosmetic differences in the wear patterns in each ones paint. Each ones mechanical operating condition is nearly identical. The machine in the photo is slightly different that the one being sold, I will have the new photos up soon. It is nearly identical but doesn't have the quick release clamps to remove the rear portion of the cabinet. Please email for a photos. Note, each machine could use a change of the fine filter medium.
