Shown here is Japanese 800 GRIT super size sharpening stone ideal for restaurant or sushi bar use. The wider stone is better suited for longer knives, such as the yanagiba. Especially good for stainless knives. King whetstones: Japanese whetstones must be soaked in water prior to use and during sharpening, additional water needs to be sparingly sprinkled. Water and the stone slurry helps to sharpen and polish the knife. 100 % made in Japan.The stone measures approx. 230mm x 100mm x 80mm (9"W x 4"D x 3.2"H). This listing is for one piece sharping stone only.
