This bariatric bed also has a built-in scale display which provides an instant reading at the touch of a button. The bed controls are conveniently placed, which allows for flexible patient positioning and provides caregivers with the ability to operate the bed and scale function as needed. The bed also features a side exit, low bed height for easy entry and exit, padded side rails and hinges offer comfort and cushion, dual brake pedals for convenient brake engagement and release, and a lock-out feature to prevent unauthorized or unintentional operation of bed functions. The KCI BariMaxx II bariatric bed is now available for purchase. This bed features an expandable width, sturdy UL listed design frame that can accommodate patients up to 1,000 lbs. The foot section is made of visco-elastic foam, which helps protect delicate heel tissue from breakdown. The width of the bed can be adjusted from 36-42- to 48- position, making it easy to transport patients on the bed in narrow doorways. It can also be expanded to 48- to provide customization for patient comfort. The easy-to-use sliding shelves allow for quick expansion and retraction of the bed's width.
