This is a Vintage, fully functional Keen Kutter Vegetable Cutter Slicermade by Shaver Specialty Company of Torrance, CaliforniaThese Cutters are still available for purchase today from the company in Southern California (MSRP $399.00)But the newer ones aren't like their original models....this one is cast iron...every component made to last..not a plastic piece here!! Easy to use and virtually indestructable....(unless you try to cut a rock!!!)These are made to be mounted on a wall....(so when you slice the slices drop directly into a bin or bowl)or it can be mounted on a tabletop or just used on any flat surfaceThese are GREAT.....they have an interchangeable "cutting grids" this one comes with a 1/2" cutting grid(meaning that each square in the grid is approximately 1/2" by 1/2" inch....so your vegetable strips or french fries are 1/2" by 1/2" by the length of the itemFULLY FUNCTIONAL and TESTED!!I actually ordered and installed a set of 2 new cutter guide blades for this unit!
