The Challenge Machinery Co. made a 20" paper cutter that was also sold as the Multi 2020, and it's been out of production for some time now. They are a good little machine and there are many of them still working just fine, but they do have their "issues". On the right hand side of the machine, under the upper plastic cover you will find the "knife solenoid" assembly. Since Challenge no longer supports these machines, you may run into a common problem with this assembly. The lever is moved by this solenoid and activates a switch that will then allow the knife and clamp to be lowered and do their thing. The casing can and will be bent out of shape at some point. I went looking and found the solenoid that you need to replace your damaged one. I do not have and can not get the entire assembly and neither can you, but you can replace the solenoid with this and be back in business in no time!
