This is a Kustom Signals StealthStat Traffic Statistics Computer. These are used to perform traffic studies by placing them on a pole to capture vehicles, speed data and more. This was retired in working condition from a local municipality. Unit is in good condition with scuffs, scratches and weathering from usage in the field. These are typically mounted outdoors on poles or other structures so they can have a clear view of the road for traffic analysis. No hoses required either, this unit is much safer then other "tube/hose" based units that require personnel to lay hoses on roadways, this unit can be mounted just to the side of the road where it's safer for the installer and the other vehicles. The unit was tested and is properly detecting traffic and counting it accordingly. It uses K-Band radar for analysis. I let the unit run for two hours unattended and it collected data for vehicles that passed it. I then took that data (on the SD card) and loaded it on a separate PC using the software included. I was able to see the data on the SD card which contained time and speed of the vehicles that passed it. Please note that the battery included is used and sold with no guarantees on battery life or longevity. It's a standard 12-volt SLA (sealed-lead-acid) battery that is user-replaceable, so if it does need to be replaced it will be very easy to do so on your own, according to the manual it should last 8-days unattended, you can lengthen that time by installing a 12-volt solar panel on the unit to charge it during the day. The battery within the computer itself was just replaced (it's a standard CR2032 battery to save date/time settings) so it should last several years. PC Software for a Windows computer is also included (it's currently on the SD Card along with a copy of the user manual). The unit is heavy with most of the weight concentrated in the battery. It weighs just under 45 pounds.
