L7812 STANDARD VOLTAGE REGULATOR  This bidding is for 10 pieces of L7812 voltage regulators. These particular voltage regulators are rated for 12V output at 1.5A max, please be sure to supply proper heat sink if driving these passed 1.0A. Package case is TO-220. Some leads maybe slightly bent but this will not effect their electrical characteristics. All parts from us come sealed in pink ESD bags. All items are shipped from sunny San Diego.  Twelve volt regulators are nearly essential for building solid hobby projects. Be sure you understand how to power these. We recommend power supply sources (i.e. batteries) totaling minimum 2.25VDC higher than the rated output of these regulators. Application note: Circuit applications vary, though technical specs limit current at 1.5A (at max temp) it is possible to drive these above rated current as long as max temperature envelope is not violated. This can be done in numerous ways using pass transistors. It is the responsibility of the circuit designer to ensure all proper safeguards are in place and all relevant values are computed correctly. Incorrect circuit analysis will cause unpredictable circuit behavior, likely resulting in damage to the circuit and adjacent surfaces.  Ratings: o 12V (output) o 1.5A (1,500mA output current max with proper cooling)
