(136 kg) General Description: Lab-Line Hi-Temp Squaroid Vacuum Ovens feature a top mounted control panel, placing all controls at eye level. Radiant warm wall heating provides uniform temperature. The heaters are clamped to the outside of the oven chamber which conserves working space and eliminates the hazards associated with open wire heaters. Temperature is controlled by a hydraulic thermostat to a maximum of 300°Celsius. An adjustable safety thermostat provides over-temperature protection, controlling a few degrees above the set-point in the event the primary thermostat fails. Individual pilot lights indicate which thermostat is controlling the temperature. Temperature can be read through the tempered glass window from a dial thermometer (not included). Vacuum is precisely controlled to nearly 30 inches Hg. A tempered glass window, secure latch and continuous gasket on the vacuum chamber provide a tight seal. Vacuum control and relief valves are located on the front of the unit and have individual lines into the the chamber allowing the introduction of air or inert gas if desired. Vacuum line fittings, located on the rear wall, require 1/4 ” (6mm) O.D. metal tubing. All internal vacuum lines are manufactured from stainless steel. Vacuum levels are displayed on the vacuum gauge in inches of mercury. The chamber interior is stainless steel while the exterior is heavy gauge steel finished with a baked polyester enamel. Three inches (76mm) of glass wool insulation ensure minimum heat loss from the chamber. The two piece aluminum shelf system improves heat conduction to the samples and is easily removed for cleaning.
