The optics operation is scaling down due to partial retirement, but this equipment is still in perfect working order. It has been previously used to handle 1 meter x 6" thick glass optics and in excess of 1500lbs, with a number of significant recent meter class optics manufactured on the machine. Originally designed for the Dominion Telescope, it boasts fully adjustable strokes via motorized and mechanical draper arm. This versatile machine is capable of manufacturing aspheric, spherical, and flat optics with ease. The 48" table completely tilts 90deg, allowing for testing in the horizontal position without needing to move the optical part off the machine. This excellent Lapping Machine offers a 1.6 Meter (63") CAPACITY DRAPER MACHINE/ 48" TILT TABLE, perfect for large optics.
