TD-2000 OTDR Fiber Fault Finder The TD-2000 modular Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) is a single mainframe can be used for all applications, from high resolution single-mode and multi-mode testing, to a combination module for both high resolution and long haul testing. The TD-2000 OTDR operates by firing a pulse of light into one end of a fiber, Front Panel Controls then by precisely timing the arrival of reflections, exact distances to cable faults are displayed on the built-in CRT screen. The TD-2000 system is made up of a single mainframe and a series of optical modules. Mainframe functions include data collection, display and storage. Each optical module contains one or two lasers and a detector optimized for specific fiber tests.
