Born out of the need for a color-correct light source that is both lightweight yet durable, high quality yet economical, and simple yet cleverly fashioned, the system takes an unusual approach to lighting. By providing evenly spaced, color-correct LEDs spread out over a large area, LiteMat creates soft light without requiring diffusion. This “soft-through-pixelization” method allows the unit to achieve surprisingly bright light levels while remaining under one inch thick in size and just one kilogram (2.2 lbs) in weight. Genuine Color-Correct VHO Pro LED Emitters. VHO Pro Hybrid provides all the benefits of VHO Pro Tungsten and Daylite along with the range of Kelvin temperatures between 3200K and 6000K. This obvious advantage allows your LiteMat to always provide the required white balance without the need for filters. When used with our LiteDimmer(TM) Hybrid, you get granular control of Kelvin temperature along with master brightness and with its LOW mode, it is possible to achieve ultra precise low-light level control. LED LiteMat™. Optional Accessories. LiteMat™ PolySkirt. Simple and Lightweight Design A multi-wall polypropylene (coroplast) skirt that helps control the light output by limiting the amount of light exiting the fixture beyond the 120 degree primary field. The PolySkirt is assembled using shock-cord and mounts to the LiteMat head with Velcro. The PolySkirt also serves as an accessory holder as all remaining accessories require its use. LiteMat™ Diffusers. Velcro Lined In Three Densities Woven fabric“diffusers”are a typically used item for this type of lighting system. LiteMat Diffusers are made in industry- standard varieties and are assembled by stitching “hook” Velcro around their borders that mate with the loop on the skirt. Presently, there are 3 densities grid-cloth (full, half, and quarter) as well as a half-soft-frost version. LiteMat™ Parasquare Louver. Lossless Light Control An aluminized plastic molded sheet with parabolic elements within each square cell that provides desirable light output with refined edges and an even field. Velcro One-Wrap die cut strips are attached to the edges to serve as a mounting method to the required PolySkirt. LiteMat™ Center Mount. Proven and Reliable Performance The LiteMat mounting system is one borrowed from the leader in the fluorescent cinema market, Kino Flo. The K-Mount system is well-established as being reliable and functional. LiteMat™ KitBag. Hybrid LiteRibbon and LiteCard are designed with both cool and warm LED emitters that when used with LiteDimmer Hybrid allow precise adjustment of Kelvin temperature ranging from 3000° to 6000°K.
