My husband has been making latex molds with a fiberglass back up shell for 15 years. Needless to say I have spent years painting statues with liquid latex. We have tried every kind there is out there. Always hoping for the perfect viscosity. Never able to use right out of the pale. Always having to add to made the perfect consistency. I am a chemist. I decided why not make my own! So over the course of Years mixing as he worked. I have formulated the perfect liquid latex rubber. Perfect for making molds used with concrete. I am unsure how it will work with anything else because it has only been used on concrete. We order the latex direct & not thru a distributor. My latex goes on smooth so no air pockets. It isn't too thick but not runny or thin. I have a formula for thickening the latex to the perfect viscosity. No more adding thickening agent on your own. My latex comes ready to go without adding anything to thicken or thin the latex. It also allows for less coats & reasonable dry time. Most important NO delamination. Once dry it keeps its shape & is made for production but also is flexible to open your mold easily. I took everything into account when formulating this liquid latex. Viscosity, thicker with less coats, no delamination, you control the amount in each coat, faster dry time, easier de molding, longer life for production. You will never use another latex again!
