Lot 12 Vtg Sight Glass Tubes Blue Belfield Sterling Scotch Grade 3/4” 1/2” Steam Description: Up for sale is this estate rescued lot of 12 Sight Glass Tubes! 2 of these piece have parts of stickers that we believe read “H. Belfield Philadelphia Sterling Stotch Grade Glass Great Britain”  There are parts of other works on the sticker but we aren’t sure of the rest.  The center of the sticker has a Coat of Arms and a Scottish flag.  We found several catalogs that listed sight glass tubes made by H. Belfield around 1917! There are 4 different length of tubes and 2 different diameters. Include is everything you see in the photos which is (measurements are not guaranteed to be exact but best we could get with our micrometer): 4 pcs light blue glass 3/4” OD, 17/32” ID x 15 13/16” x 3/32” wall. 5 pcs blue glass 3/4” OD, 1/2” ID x 14” x 9/64” wall. 2 pcs blue glass 3/4” OD, 1/2” ID x 12” x 9/64” wall. 1 pc blue glass 1/2” OD, 37/128” ID x 10 5/8” x 3/32” wall. All of the pieces are in good condition.  As seen in the photos there is a little chipping on the cut edges but no cracks that we could see. These tubes were very dirty when we recovered them.  We have given them a light cleaning but there is still some soiling on the tubes.   A cool old lot of tubes!
