I press hard while writing and constantly smudge the ink on my hand. If you like the smooth feel of a Gel pen but hate the smudging this is the one to get. While these aren't completely smudge proof, they are the best I've ever seen, way better then the G2's. The nice thing about these is that the same ink is used for the one with the nicer finish and there is also a cartridge with a very narrow tip for even less and faster drying ink. 5.0 out of 5 stars If you like pens you will love these Clearly, one can get by with a stick-type cheapo ball point pen that can be purchased by the dozen for virtually nothing. But some of us enjoy using a pen that has a bit more style and which writes with a bolder, more flowing line. The EnerGel features a metal-tip that dispenses gel ink incredibly smoothly. The pen also is of the "click and release" type so you don't end up losing a cap. There is a rubberized lower section for a more comfortable grip. Even the styling is spiffy. The EnerGel pens are pricier than the plastic cheapies, but they aren't so expensive that losing one leads to trauma and self-crimination. The cartridges last forever and the pen is comfortable to hold. I had trouble finding this color at local stores, but, of course, Amazon had it.
