Later model Ludlum model3 with 44-3 low energy Gamma scintillator probe coil cord and test source disc. Clean inside out inspected both meter and probe added coil cord and pulse count calibrated. Model 3 is a general purpose survey meter which can support many different probes some and requires 2 D size batteries. Meter scale C.P.M. 0-5K with 4 decades X0.1, X1, X10, and X100 total range 0-500,000 C.P.M. ( many dials available from Ludlum to match the desired probe in this case only the C.P.M. dial covers all probes by knowing the specific count per mR/hr any probe can be easily calculated to mR/hr or uR/hr.) Fast and slow response switch, audio on/off switch, and reset button, This instrument was pulse count rate calibrated yesterday and to my surprise no adjustment was required checked at two points on dial all decades per manufactures specification. The 44-3 scintillation probe was opened and the crystal inspected it is clear as fresh water but does have several very small spots on the outer edge and is not broken or cracked. Probe was tested with an I 125 source and is 2% lower than 675 C.P.M. per uR/hr  well within tolerance also background 0f 10 uR/hr is normal detects 10 K.E.V. and above of Gamma X-Ray as well as Bremsstrahlung X-ray radiation. The test source is standard disc with holder it is .01 uCi Am 241  (Anarecium )  Alpha source the maximum you can own without a license. In photo 11 you see the probe responding to the Bremsstrahlung X-rays from it and not the Alpha particles as it is a low energy Gamma X-ray probe. Probe and instrument both have BNC connectors. A bit of swag a new coil cord $25.00 value fits both BNC & MHV connectors, 2 new D size alkaline batteries, and the test source disc with holder that was with it when I got it. Note the white you see between the probe and holder is scrap paper to keep the probes finish from getting scuffed up just picky about it.
