Originally penned in 1955, the book's teachings are timeless, as they apply to all aspects of machine reconditioning, machine rebuilding, and machine building. Even with the addition of modern technology, the basic machine design has remained unchanged. Thus, the knowledge imparted in this book can be used in rebuilding a new CNC machine. This new hardcover book will be sealed in a plastic bag from the publisher. I have no way of knowing the edition or printing without opening the bag, but I assure you that it is a genuine copy purchased directly from the current copyright holder. These books are the same as the one I bought from Edward Connelly 40 years ago before he passed away. It includes numerous photos and drawings and gives step-by-step instructions for hand scraping, sharpening scraper blades, leveling and aligning machines, scraping and aligning lathe beds, dovetails, gigs, and more.
