Machine Tool Reconditioning Book

US $1600

  • Cottage Grove, Minnesota, United States

Originally penned in 1955, the book's teachings are timeless, as they apply to all aspects of machine reconditioning, machine rebuilding, and machine building. Even with the addition of modern technology, the basic machine design has remained unchanged. Thus, the knowledge imparted in this book can be used in rebuilding a new CNC machine. This new hardcover book will be sealed in a plastic bag from the publisher. I have no way of knowing the edition or printing without opening the bag, but I assure you that it is a genuine copy purchased directly from the current copyright holder. These books are the same as the one I bought from Edward Connelly 40 years ago before he passed away. Though I am having issues with changing the shipping or mailing options, please be aware that the cost of mailing is significantly cheaper than what is shown. If you are ordering from within the USA, the book can be shipped via media rate for $4.21 or USPS Priority Flat Med. Box for $13.45. For international orders, the mailing cost will be calculated, and a signature will be required upon delivery. Please contact me before making your purchase. Thank you. The Machine Tool Reconditioning Book is available for purchase now, and no bidding is required. If you wish to acquire this book, simply press the "Buy It Now" button. Please note that while it says "I accept offers," I cannot accept them, and I am currently unable to turn off the option. This hardcover book is brand new and written and organized by Edward Connelly. As a professor teaching machine tool rebuilding, I was able to purchase these books at a special price and use them as text references for my classes. Now, I will offer them to the public. The classic book has earned the moniker "The Bible of Rebuilding" and was written by several machine tool building companies in the USA. It includes numerous photos and drawings and gives step-by-step instructions for hand scraping, sharpening scraper blades, leveling and aligning machines, scraping and aligning lathe beds, dovetails, gigs, and more.
