One of the most challenging parts of building a 10GHz transverter is the LO. Here is an excellent, stable LO for your project. It is already crystaled up on 10.224GHz, tuned, and tested. You can purchase these "bricks" on eBay, buy the crystal to put it on frequency, install it, tune the oscillator, do any repairs that may be required, and DIY the LO yourself but, if you would like to have the finished package, here it is. I use mine to provide a rock stable LO for my Kuhne transverter and now don't need to chase the signals around the band. I get lots of low ball offers so perhaps breaking out the components will help. When you can get the bricks on eBay they are typically in the $50+ range but not on frequency. Often they are tested though so that's a positive. On the other hand, since they are not on frequency they may require significant work to put them on 10.224GHz. The crystals are $42/ea (yikes!). Plus the time to install, test, repair if required, eBay fees, shipping, and PayPal charges. By the time a finished and working LO is posted and sold here there is significant cost involved. Your consideration of these costs before low balling is most appreciated. These are a bargain as is and my hope is the next contest will have more participants. Thanks.
