Ultra-Flat Glass Build Plate Upgrade System for Makerbot Replicator 2 Glass build plate is a FLAT alternative to the standard acrylic build plate which is usually not flat from the factory, and can deform more over time due to heat.  Glass will not distort or warp over time with heat.  Now you can level the nozzle across the entire build platform and print large, long prints consistently.  Glass is flat within .0015".    This is NOT just a piece of 3/8" thick glass.  3/8" is too thick and can damage the plastic hold-down clips.  3/8" glass is also much heavier than the stock build plate which can be problematic for the plastic arm supports.  Compare: stock acrylic (500g) to our system total weight (575g) to 3/8" solid glass (1,110g)!  What you get: Reversible glass build plate surface cut to exact dimensions A-frame support to secure and locate the glass build plate Pre-installed piece of blue masking tape for adhesion Message us at time of order for your preference of color choice, otherwise we will send one from our stock.  Custom colors and dual colors may be additional and may cause 1-2 delay in shipping.  Most US orders ship same business day if ordered by 3pm EST.  Snaps right in to replicator 2 frame, no tools necessary.  Not for use on Replicator 2X.  Not for use with heated beds.  *Etched glass shown for reference only, but is not included.  Plain glass included.  Message us for custom etching inquiries.  *Aluminum arms not included in this auction.  See our other product listings to purchase these.  Use of blue tape to improve adhesion is recommended.  1 piece of masking tape comes pre-installed.  May be removed by user, or just flip over the glass if you wish to print without the tape side.  Extra blue tape available.  Kapton film, or hairspray may also be used (but are not included).  Also check out our Aluminum Arm Stiffeners,   Overhead Spool Holder   and   High Lubricity Replacement Nozzles
