This is a new product we have developed to perform a cylinder cutout test on electronic fuel injected CAT engines without the need for a computer and the CAT ET software, we call it the MCCS. This tool enables a mechanic to quickly connect to the injector wiring harness, start the engine and begin cutting out cylinders or multiple cylinders to test the strength and function of the individual cylinders. A misfiring engine can be quickly connected and this tool will reveal in seconds which cylinder is not contributing so the mechanic knows where to begin looking Here is a video demonstrating the tool Feel free to ask any questions if this is something you have needed as a mechanic who wants to include injector replacement to your list of services offered but cannot justify the expense of the software and computer needed to determine which cylinder is misfiring. The tool comes in a carrying case with a manual, dvd tutorial and a harness designed to connect the tool to a Pre ACCERT Caterpillar Electronic fuel injection truck engine (C-12, C-15, 3406E). This may also work on the later ACCERT models and tractor engines but we have not yet determined if they use the same connectors as the Pre ACCERT engines.
