Martin D-45 Golden Era (1937 specs) made in Limited Edition of 31 guitars to commemorate the 180th Anniversary of C.F. Martin & Co. in 2013. This is #8 and signed as such by C.F. Martin IV. This is the guitar that Martin exhibited at the 2013 NAAM Show as the best example of this guitar both tonally and cosmetically. Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, Adirondack Spruce top. Handmade abalone rosette reminiscent of the early Stauffer period of Martin, with specially designed abalone inlay patterns on ebony bridge and fretboard. Abalone binding on top, sides and back of guitar. 180th Anniversary abalone inlay headstock with traditional D-45 "C.F. Martin" vertical block letters. Top bracing is standard high "X" (Golden Era Style), forward shifted; top braces are solid adirondack spruce 5/16". D-45GE cloth strip side reinforcement  inside body. Back purfling is D-45 Golden Era. Neck is modified V with 1-3/4" nut width. Nut and bridge saddle made of bone. Bridge style is 1930s belly with drop-in long saddle. Bridge string spacing 2-5/16". Tuners are Waverly Gold 4060 with Butterbean Knobs. Bridge and end pins are fossilized ivory with black pearl dots. Case is 545 Geib style with 180th Anniversary Design. New with blank warranty card and all papers, case key, etc. Miniscule crack on top lower left which was repaired by the best Martin man in US and is invisible to naked eye (see last photo).  In terms of tone, volume and action, this D-45GE is better than my Brazilian Rosewood D-45GE; it is an exceptional guitar.
