RARE MARTIN MOTOCUT PRECISION DISPLAY SIGN CUTTING TOOL PATTERN SCROLL SABRE SAW 1936 Up for your consideration is this really nice SMOOTH RUNNING vintage Martin Motocut precision display/sign/diemakers sabre saw. These were made for precision scroll cutting of almost any material; wood, plexiglass, plastic, rubber, cork, leather, formica, cloth material, foamboard, luann and many other materials. Built to last a lifetime, and perform like a professional. 360 degree rotating cutter head. The 2 round rods and wwoden handle go together and attach to the base to allow for circle cutting. Blades, belts and other parts and accessories are occassioanlly listed on eBay. A more modern version of a similar saw to this would be a Cutawl K-12 and are still availble for around $1500 new. ADD. The housing and base are solid as a rock. The motor starts and runs like a top. The rubber cord is still pliable and soft - no cuts or frays in the cord. The shaft head is solid and spins freely. The only real mentionable is that there is some minor paint chips on the shaft shield, nothing that affects performance, it is really just a cosmetic issue.
