Selection and testing Tubes must meet certain criteria before I will list them for sale. This includes physical integrity (no pieces rattling around inside the envelope, tight bases (where applicable), no cracked bases, no bent or corroded pins, no loose top caps, etc.), and electrical testing. On occasion I will list a tube or tubes that may not meet the usual criteria (physical defect or low emission), but this will be noted in the listing details. On rare occasion I might miss a defect before listing the tube for sale. If this happens, please notify me and I will correct the listing if the tube has not yet sold. If you end up purchasing a tube with a defect, please let me know immediately and I'll make it right. I strive to ensure that every buyer has a good experience in purchasing from me. All tubes are tested for gas, shorts, emission, and transconductance on a calibrated Hickok 6000A unless otherwise noted. Results are listed, along with the typical NOS value given in the chart for that tube. PLEASE NOTE: None of the old Hickok testers (and this includes the venerable 539 series) are lab-quality instruments! Test results are likely to vary between instruments, and this is to be expected. Please take the results given as an approximate value. If the tube does not meet expectations, you may return it for a refund per our return policy below. I try to keep tubes packaged with their original boxes whenever possible. Original boxes may not exist (in the case of used tubes, or in the case of manufacturer bulk packs) or may be damaged beyond reuse -- in these cases the tube will be reboxed in a new white box, and will be noted as such in the table above on the "box type" row. Guarantee and return policy All tubes are guaranteed to match the details of the listing, or I will be happy to accept their return for refund. Please notify me within 30 days if there's a problem and I'll correct it to your satisfaction. If you have a problem with your order, please send me a message and wait for my reply - I will almost always reply within 24 hours, and usually much quicker than that. Opening a case in the resolution center hurts my seller rating, even if the case is resolved satisfactorily. IMPORTANT: All tubes are stamped with an identifier to ensure that, in the event of a return, I get the tubes back that I originally sold. The stamp is very similar to the chalky paint that tube manufacturers used, and as such, it is removable if rubbed with sufficient force. Please be careful not to rub the stamp off until the tube meets your satisfaction. Under no circumstances will I accept tubes for return that are missing this stamp. Non-defective tubes which are returned to me for refund must arrive back to me in the same condition as which they were sent to you -- this includes the condition of the box(es) and the printing on the tube(s). Shipping DOMESTIC: Most tubes are able to be shipped via USPS First Class Package (if total weight is under 13oz.), which is the least expensive way to send them. I also offer USPS Priority and UPS Next Day Air as options. If you prefer a shipping method that is not listed, please let me know prior to payment. I can ship via any USPS or UPS method that is applicable to your ZIP code. INTERNATIONAL: Orders that are valued at less than $100 and which weigh four pounds or less may ship USPS First Class International, as this is the least expensive to send them. All other orders must ship USPS Priority Mail International. Please note that First Class International may take a month or two to reach some destinations. If you require faster shipping, please select Priority Mail International at checkout). USPS is the only shipping carrier I use for international shipments. DUTIES (if any) ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. I must mark the actual value of the tubes on the customs form to ensure compliance with legal and insurance terms - please do not ask for an exception. All tubes are shipped using new packing materials and ample cushioning. Please note that I may choose to ship high value tubes only by certain methods, and may require a signature release (signature release is required per eBay rules for purchases over $750).
