This item was acquired in a lot of Public School surplus. We have not had a professional radio technician check it out, however, we have placed it into the drop in charger, gave it a bit of a charge, the light comes on indicating a charge, and when we turn it on, it omits a beeping sound indicative that it is working. This Legacy radio, which is a subsidiary of the Maxon radio line, was purchased with several other identical, and nearly identical radios, that we have since sold. All worked just fine, and we received no complaints. We therefore are assuming that this one too, should work just fine. It might also serve well as a simple solution as a replacement for a similar or identical radio that can't be repaired. Due to these circumstances, we have set our minimum bid for quite a bit less than the original price, however, with no warranty or guarantee being expressed or implied.
