Spinthariscope is a device to demonstrate the interaction of alpha particles with matter. When observing in the darkness through the lens of the device can be seen numerous outbreaks (scintillation), caused by the shock of alpha particles on the screen surface consisting of zinc sulfide activated with silver.  * To conduct the experiments necessary source of alpha radiation. (uranium minerals, source Am-241 from a smoke detector, control sources of radiation instruments and others). !!!The source of alpha particles not included!!! !!! Included with the device also includes: - 1 spare scintillation screen  (in case of damage to main) The instrument has a very wide viewing angle, allowing you to see not only directly flying particles, but also particles flying along the tangent of the trajectory relative to the screen. This allows a much larger area of research, and also to see more effects caused by scintillations. Thanks to specially selected optical system this spinthariscope allows you to see the scintillations not even bringing the device to the eye, the observation can be conducted at the distance of 5-7 see Also this optical system allows for photo/video recording of the events process (necessary equipment, enabling high-quality mode).
